The best razor to use on your head is the Gillette Fusion or Phenom. U will not be disappointed.

I'm a young guy with pretty thick black hair. My secrets aren't advanced but they work.
First i scrub my head with aprticot scrub (girly i know) but it seems to bring out all the hairs real nice.
second i put hair conditioner on, yes hair conditioner, (any good one will do) and then shave my head with a gillette double blade razor. Haven't graduated to the 3 or 4 blade razors but i would recommend them.
Oh forgot to mention i shave in the shower.
Then i use a black guys (bump free) sort of aftershave, it's basically liquid in a bottle. prevents any bumps or irritation. It's alcohol based (burns a little) but we're all men so it isn't that bad.
For maintenance i clean my head probably twice a day with noxzema blemish pads, it essentially scrubs your head and removes dirt and unclogs pores while preventing your head from being oily and getting hair bumps or pimples.
Thats it easy, effective, most likely not the best method but it works.

I scrub my had with American Crew shaving soap, then apply hot towels folowed by Fusion gel which I rub into the skin rather than just smoothing it on. I then shave with a Fusion razor. I then apply more hot towels and respeat the process. I then shower, apply a cleansing lotion to my scalp, rinse off then rinse again with cold water.
A great shave.

I use the Venus razor for Women in the shower. It provides better protection against knicks and cuts.

I just recently gave in to the thought that I was "Called to be Bald"!!
My hair was fast receding & a mpb bald spot appearing near the top of my crown & receding in the back too, so I resigned myself to the plain fact that it is intended for me to be BALD. So I have surrendered to the blade. I soak my head with hot (not too hot) water & massage some King of Shaves Shaving Oil into my scalp then add Gillette Fusion or similar shaving gel & use Headblade or Fusion Power Mach III razor to shave smooth. I then repeat the process and shave in opposite direction. Result is a really close shave.

This web site is great. I am still dealing with the head bump problem. You have given me some great ideas to try.
Thanks much.

Thank you BaldGuyz for a good product moisture gel after shaving my my head and I got to say it works great so far. The other stuff I would use is oil which would make my scalp start to peel.
Thanks,

Ive been shaven the ol' dome for about a year and i feel cooler. I use Gellete Sensor 3 with Gellet sensitive skin gel and noxzema cream after shaving, its soooo refreshing. I live in a very hot part of the country and the shaved head helps me cool down plus the ladies cant help but to give me a lil' rub now and then, peace out.

hey, i started shaving my head about 3 years ago when i gave up on rogaine and propecia.Shaving your head helps you stand out in a crowd. Not all women like guys with shaved heads but those who do REALLY like guys with shaved heads. Ive had better luck with the ladies since i shaved my head and i think its because im more confident. i definitely recommend it to those who arent sure about whether to shave or not...

To keep your crome dome shiny, try using bald guys head gel or headblade lube glossy. right before and after I shave, I have been applying a little bit of baby oil on the dome before unsing the head gel or headblade lube glossy. I have been pleased with the results.

When i jump in the shower at the gym, I use gillette shampoo and bodywash, washrag and hotwater to open the pores and remove dirt and grease, apply gillete complete skincare gel, headblage ghost razor or gillete's M3 turbo razor, i have pretty thin hair so a couple a quick passes and alot of rinsing to keep the blade clean, dry off use headlube matte to reduce glare and condition my scalp, and i'm done the whole process takes five to ten minutes including the shower and is gentle enough every other day on my sensitive skin, just started Bald Guyz products so we'll see how that goes.

Seems a lot of us agree about the Gillette Fusion. Nothing better I've found. Tried the headblade, nicked myself half to death. I absolutley love the HeadSlick shave cream however. Just got my order of BladGuyz Shave gel. Eager to compare.

I shave my head bald without a razor. I use the Norelco Cool Moisturizing (rotary) Shaver in the shower and it gives me an excellent shave. I dont even have to shave everyday. It has a lotion thats dispenses as you shave so you shave with a cool feeling and once your skin adapts to the razor(1-2) weeks, there hardly and redness at all as long as you moisturize your skin in between shaves often.

Absolute best way...have a naked woman in the shower shave the dome for you. 2nd best way...I use Head Slick mentholated shave cream with a Schick Xtreme3 razor. Follow up with a little bit 'o Nivea Extra Soothing Balm for sensitive skin. Smells great, and isn't overpowering.

My wife loves to shave my head in the shower. no nicks cuts or worries. Pure rubbing alcohol after no bumps little sting but who cares

In the shower for sure. I have tried to shave at the sink and I have a friend that does, but I get the sink and everything around it all messy. I also think that my hair is softer too. I use Head Slick and a standard 3 blade bic with moisture strip. I love having a bald head, it makes me feel real sexy!!

I recently started using the Bald Guyz shampoo and wash before I shave my head and face. I then shave with a Fusion razor and Bald Guyz shave gel in the shower. I finish with a second application of the shampoo and wash. As a person with sensative skin this seems to be the best combination that I have used for little to no irritation. If I do have any irritation I apply a small amount of hydro-cortizone cream to the affected area and it helps alot.

Just get it lazered off. I rarely shave, and my head is super smooth!!! When I have to shave, I use the Xtreme 3 razor; it's the best.

I haved shaved my head for about 7 years. Have always used my electric (cordless) shaver. Wash my head twice with soap to remove all oils and dirt in my morning shower. Shave my face then up to the dome. Splash on some after shave and I'm done.
Clean my head throughout the day to remove the oils, dirt and shine with medicated pads.

@Eddie: Did you actually get laser hair removal done on your head? How much did it cost, and how many times did you have to go in for treatments?
So far I've been using Headblade HeadSlick, but just bought some Bald Guyz Clear Shave Gel and will see how it compares. I did buy a Headblade razor, but have found that the best razor for me seems to be the Schick Hydro 5. I find that it seems to be much more gentle on my scalp and the moisturizing strip also seems to be one of the best that I've come across and lasts a lot longer than others as well.

I've been shaving my head for 2 1/2 years now. I did a fair amount of research before doing it. I started out using Headblade stuff only. However recently, I discovered the benefits of BaldGuyz products. I still use the headblade S4 razor it works great and makes shaving the dome a lot easier. If you want one you can get a 20% discount by using 02309 in the referral code box.
Drop me a note if you have any questions.

Been shaving my head for over 11 years now...ever since I decided it was cheaper than a new high and tight in the Marines. I started off with Barbasol Menthol shaving cream and a mach 3 razor(both standard issue at the time)in the shower and have graduated to using the Gillette Fusion Power Razor only. Just hop in the shower, let the water warm me up, throw some water on my head and shave. Working from front to back in paths, rinsing between passes. Then working from back to front, also rinsing between passes. Wash and rinse, check for any extra stubble or missed spots. Spot shave and then done.

I'm using the Headblade Sport 2nd Generation. That's the best for my Head. My favourite Shave Gel is the Ultimate Shave Gel from Bald Guyz.

I had some problems with razor bumps when I started shaving my head. I was using strictly headblade products including Headslick shaving cream, and followed up with Clearhead which is Headblade's aftershave. It helped, but it did not completely fix the problem.
A friend of mine told me about BaldGuyz stuff, I was hesitant but I tried I and I’m so glad I did. It works great. I use only BaldGuyz products, and the headblade S4. It’s hard to get a better shave than with the S4. It’s expensive, but you can get 20% off if you use 02309 or use the following link. It adds the code for you.

Oh, the shaving bumps are a thing of the past and so is the HeadBlade aftershave.
