There have been many comments about head shine. Some ask how to get a good one, and others ask how to eliminate one. There are different methods for both and we want to know yours.
From the Bald Guyz perspective, we have created products like Head Wipes that remove the natural oils from the skin and leave the head with a naturally clean look. We have heard stories of people using baby powder or corn starch to dull the shine. Additionally there are several skin care products that proclaim to "matte" the skin. What do you use?
As for a shine with luster there are several ways a person can accomplish this. Some use a "wax" while others use "butter's" and oils. What are your secrets?

I myself prefer a shiny look on my head. For those that don't like a shiny look, you could try headblade lube - matte instead of the glossy. They make both kinds.
I have used some baby oil before I shave and then use some shaving cream/gel and then shave. afterwards I cleanup, put on a little more baby oil and then use either bald guyz gel or headlube glossy. This gives a nice shine and really soothes the shaving burn feeling.

I have shaved my head for the last 14 years now and have had no luck finding anything that supposedly shines your head. I have heard of people talking about wax and baby oil. Can someone please be more specific on what type of wax. Baby oil is ok but leaves too much film or just a greasy feel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The following combination really works for me; it produces a shine like a beacon:
1) After shaving and rinsing, let the scalp dry for a few minutes naturally (you can use this time to brush your teeth and apply deodorant).
2) Massage 6 to 8 drops of baby oil evenly into your scalp.
3) Spread a small dallop of aloe vera gel on your scalp.
4) Let this mixture dry naturally...that's all there is to it!
This treatment makes you feel even more bald than simply shaving, and i have to think it is a healthy treatment for your skin.
Enjoy....Brian
