Jim Leyritz to Host Bald Guyz 8 Ball Challenge
Manalapan, NJ - September 18, 2007 - Former New York Yankee and Bald Guyz spokesperson, Jim Leyritz will host the New York Bald Guyz 8 Ball Challenge at the Amsterdam Billiards Club in November and December. Proceeds from the event will benefit The Jorge Posada Foundation, which supports research and care for children with craniosynostosis.
"I am very excited to host the first ever New York Bald Guyz 8 Ball Challenge as well as raise funds for my good friend, Jorge Posada's Foundation," said Jim Leyritz. "I look forward to having all fellow baldies join me at Amsterdam Billiards Club and crowning the first ever New York Bald Guyz 8 Ball Champion."
To enter the tournament one must either be bald or agree to wear a bald headed wig during the entire competition. Qualifying rounds will start on November 1st and participants will play in the finals on December 15th, and have the opportunity to win cash and prizes. Entry begins September 20th online at www.baldguyz.com and in person at Amsterdam Billiards Club. Posters and entry forms will also be available at New York area CVS stores.
